Who is a Person with Disabilities?
A person with a disability is a person with a long-term physical, mental, intellectual or perceptual impairment that constitutes an obstacle to full and effective participation in society under equal conditions with other individuals.
Who is a Disabled Person?
A Disabled Individual is an individual with physical, sensory, cognitive, and mental differences who cannot access information, education, politics, legal rights, etc. as a result of social/social mechanisms not implementing accessibility regulations.
What is Accessibility?
Accessibility means that any space, services, products, contents, and even digital environment be accessible, comprehensive, and utilizable for each person including the elderly and disabled people.

66.9% of the social living spaces in Turkey are not accessible! According to the research conducted by TUIK(Turkish Statistical Institute) in December 2011, the number of disabled citizens based on official records is 4 million 883 thousand. This data corresponds to approximately 6.6% of Turkey’s population.
